Where to Find Books, Articles, and Other Materials

Finding Books and Nonprint Material

GIL is GPC's catalog for books and nonprint material.

Our Nonprint Department offers CDs, DVDs, and other media for learning, enrichment, and entertainment.

GIL Universal Catalog lists books at University System of Georgia libraries. You can request books via GIL Express, if GPC's library does not have them. GIL Express is for students, faculty, and staff of the University System of Georgia colleges only. Please allow two to four days for delivery.

Interlibrary loan is for books not available at University System libraries. Interlibrary loan is for GPC students, faculty, and staff only. Please allow a week to ten days for delivery.

Databases for Articles

The GPC Libraries offer a diverse assortment of article databases, many of which feature full text material.

Journal Locators

Use Find It@GALILEO to search for a journal title and if it's available online, what database to use.

Or try Openly Jake to see where a journal title is indexed (listed), and if it is available full text online.

To learn more about an unfamiliar journal title, try JournalSeek.

Interlibrary Loan

If a journal is unavailable as full text, use the Interlibrary Loan Form to order it from another library. Interlibrary loan is for GPC students, faculty, and staff only. Interlibrary loans take roughly a week to ten days for delivery.
