The Clarkston Campus is Georgia Perimeter College's oldest location. It opened as DeKalb College with 763 students in 1964 and became Georgia perimeter College in 1997.
We have one of the most culturally diverse campuses in the University System of Georgia. Students from more than 100 nations come here.
We are the home of the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra. GPC's Fine Arts Program and the Center for International Education host an assortment of cultural events. The Clarkston Campus houses The Writers Institute, The Chattahoochee Review, and Writer-in-Residence, Jack Riggs, Georgia Author of the Year for Fiction 2009.
