I have been at Georgia Perimeter College since 1994, first as an adjunct Instructor of Biology, then as a full-time member of the Science Department on Clarkston campus, which led to my present position. I currently serve as Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) in the Educational Affairs Department. As a tenured associate professor, I enjoy the benefit of serving in the district office at GPC, which serves all 5 campuses by providing faculty development programs, as well as program development. Since I believe that education ends only with life, this would ensure that I’ll be constantly teaching! Interacting with faculty and exposing them to development opportunities keeps my thirst for teaching alive! www.gpc.edu/ctl |

I am a graduate of DeKalb Community College, hold a certification in Paralegal Studies and have been at the College since 1976. My current responsibilities include serving as the Program Coordinator in Educational Affairs for the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Center for Distance Learning, Program Development and Academic Assessment. I have worked in numerous areas during my tenure at the College, which includes the Office of the President, the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Provost’s Office, Enrollment Management, Continuing Education, Community Services and Plant Administration. Because of my varied employment experiences and knowledge gained, I continue to seek to improve and enhance teaching and learning in higher education. Education is truly a lifelong learning experience and the scope is broad with endless opportunities. |
