If you are interested in a career that involves working closely with people in variety of contexts, you should consider a degree in Communication. The Communication Program of Study offers a balanced educational curriculum of liberal arts and sciences course with the fundamental concepts and practices in the field of communication.
Courses in communication focus on improving speaking and interpersonal skills, as well as an introduction to business, intercultural and mass communication.
In addition to the required COMM 1201, Public Speaking course, students take COMM 1100, Human Communication, and COMM 2105, Interpersonal Communication. Students also select elective courses in other areas of Communication including COMM 2300, Business & Professional Communication, and COMM 2900, Intercultural Communication, as well as the study of a Foreign Language.
