Potential Careers:
According to 2010 U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities for radiologic technologists are growing faster than for most professions. The 2009 average income for radiologic technologists was $54,180. Technologists who are skilled at more than one procedure will be the most marketable. Promising job opportunities are available around the country in:

Hospitals
Diagnostic Imaging Centers
Extended Care Facilities
Physicians’ Offices

Why Start at GPC?

Georgia Perimeter College partners with two programs, DeKalb Medical Center of Radiologic Technology and Grady Health System to offer a curriculum that will prepare you for a great career in Radiologic Technology. You’ll take general education courses at GPC and radiology specialty courses at DeKalb Medical or Grady Health System.  After successful completion of the program, you are eligible to take the national exam.  Pass that, and you pass GO!  You’ll become a registered radiologic technologist (radiographer) R.T.(R).  Your future begins!
