Procedure for GPC employeess requesting space for a GPC-related group or committee when request for space also includes a need for additional setup or services from Plant or Technology.
Two week lead time requested
These requests should be submitted through the use of the Internal Request form.
Information about physical setup requirements (which can be attached to the email if extensive) will be passed on to Plant Operations by the Event Scheduler.
Requests for the assistance of the Event Technology Group will be made through their request form (http://www.gpc.edu/oit/eventrequest/) after the space reservation is confirmed - you will need the space confirmation number, which you will receive once the space is assigned, for that form.
Please allow at least 5 business days for a reply to be received.
The “submit” button on the request form will open up an email window and will pre-fill with the “gpc-space” listserv address to which all requests should be sent. The subject line should include the campus chosen on the request form.
If an email window does not open for you, you can save the file to your desktop (if you are using Adobe Acrobat Professional) and attach it to an email message to "gpc-space at gpc.edu". Please include the campus being requested in the subject line.
You can also choose to fax the form to (770) 274-5009.
Timeline of your event
Many public spaces at the college stay busy most of the day and there may only be a short window of time between scheduled events. You can always check the GPC Webviewer to see what is scheduled in any space at the college.
To ensure everyone has the time they need, the Scheduling Group asks that everyone be sure to request any critical set-up or tear-down time needed for your event (setting up technology, getting a display setup or broken down, etc.) so that we may ensure that all those who are scheduled in spaces have the time that they need.
Also, please remember to be respectful of the space and anyone else who may be using it - return the space to the condition you found it as much as possible and observe the time frame the space has been scheduled for your group. This applies to all conference rooms and classrooms.
