CAMPUS
EVENTS
PROCEDURE
The following procedure should be followed by faculty and student groups
when sponsoring events on the campuses/centers:
- Any event sponsored by a
faculty or student group must be approved through the campus Provost. For
major events requiring advanced publicity (symposiums, major speakers,
professional meetings) at least one month's notice should be given.
- The campus Provost should
confer with the other Provosts to avoid conflicts in scheduling major
events concurrently on different campuses.
- All published calendars
should be checked prior to scheduling campus events to avoid potential
intercampus conflicts. The campus newspapers, newsletters and
online calendars should be consulted. If there are no conflicts,
the Provost's Office should be noticed.
- The Provost will notify the
Public Relations Office of dates of planned campus events to be included
in the college newsletter and online calendar.
- Outside organizations wishing
to lease, rent, or use a Georgia Perimeter College facilities on a
non-charge basis are the direct responsibility of Plant Operations (see
901 PROCEDURAL GUIDELINES FOR USE OF GEORGIA PERIMETER COLLEGE FACILITIES.)
