SECTION 1000 - INFORMATION AND PUBLICATIONS

1002.08           PUBLICATIONS - EQUAL ACCESS - EQUAL OPPORTUNITY POLICY STATEMENT

POLICY

Georgia Perimeter College supports the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order #11246, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1992. In order to inform the public about its policy of Equal Access -- Equal Opportunity, the following statement will be placed in each official publication of Georgia Perimeter College:

No person shall, on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion, creed, national origin, age or disability, be excluded from employment or participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity conducted by Georgia Perimeter College.

PROCEDURE

  1. The Georgia Perimeter College statement of non-discrimination is printed in all official college publications including college catalogs, handbooks, class schedules, fact books, and annual reports prepared by the College for dissemination to students or the general public.
  2. The phrase "Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Institution" may be used in place of the full statement on flyers, brochures, posters, and forms and in advertisements in the name of the College.
