SECTION 1900 - MISCELLANEOUS
1908 EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE
SERVICE
AREAS OF THE COLLEGE
POLICY
The
service areas of Georgia Perimeter College shall be evaluated on a regular and
systematic basis.
PROCEDURE
The
service areas of the college are defined as the areas supervised by the
Executive Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs. The following methods shall be used for the
evaluation of these areas:
A. In addition to the information provided
in general surveys of the faculty and students, periodic surveys for the
service areas of the college shall be done on specific “target” populations of
the college. These target populations
shall be defined as faculty/staff/students who have used or would have specific
knowledge of the quality of the service being evaluated.
B. The Vice President who supervises the
service areas shall provide an annual report to the Institutional Effectiveness
Policy Council of the progress made toward the goals and objectives of each
area.
C. The various service units of these two
functional areas may be evaluated by an external agency or consultant every
five years. The Vice President of the
service areas may set up a rotating schedule so that each of the areas may
undergo an external examination during the next five years.
