322†††† ††††††††††† FACULTY OVERLOADS

 

 

 

POLICY

 

A faculty member may be scheduled for an overload with prior approval from the Vice President for Academic Affairs in the event that no qualified part-time person is available.

 

PROCEDURE

 

A.††††††† At the close of registration, the department chairs/coordinators will contact the Campus Dean of Academic Services with all requests for overloads from his or her department.The following information must be provided.

 

††††††††††† ††††††††††† 1.††††††††††† Reason for overload

††††††††††† ††††††††††† 2.††††††††††† Social Security Number

††††††††††† ††††††††††† 3.††††††††††† Dollar amount to be paid

††††††††††† ††††††††††† 4.††††††††††† Course to be taught

 

†††††††††† The Campus Dean of Academic Services will forward this information to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

 

B.††††††† The Vice President for Academic Affairs will hand-deliver these requests to the Presidentís Office and send a copy to the Executive Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs.

 

C.††††††††††† Overloads will be communicated to the Board of Regents for final approval.†††††††††††††††††††††††
