329 INFECTION CONTROL IN CPR COURSES
It is the policy of Georgia Perimeter College to follow all CDC guidelines, OSHA, and state regulations related to infection control and treatment of biohazardous waste to help insure the health and safety of our employees, faculty, and students.
The procedure for ensuring that adequate infection control measures are taken in CPR Courses is as follows:
A. CPR mannequins that have individual Mouth/Nose pieces and air bags must be used. Mouth/Nose pieces must be cleaned and sterilized after each use and reused. Air bags are disposable and must be discarded in appropriate receptacles for waste.
B. Mannequins must be disinfected with Clorox-type solutions appropriate to cleaning of the mask material.
