330.01 CONTINUING EDUCATION COMMON COURSE
OUTLINE
POLICY
All Continuing Education Courses awarding CEUs (Category I) will have
approved common course outlines according to Regents’ and SACS guidelines.
PROCEDURE
The following procedure is for use for the development of a continuing
education non-credit course outline.
A. An
outline for each continuing education course will be developed and used for the
instruction of that course college-wide.
The outline will be developed by the area instructor and the program
coordinator. Review of the outline for
approval will be completed by the Assistant Vice President for Continuing and
Corporate Education and the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
B. The
continuing education course outline will include the following information:
1. Course
index number
2. Course
title (date created or updated)
3. C.E.U.
(units ascribed by contact hours)
4. Course
description/course content
5. Teaching
methodologies and Learning outcomes
6. Course
materials/texts
7. Target
Audience and evaluation methods
8. Course
completion requirements
9. Course
assessment procedures of outcomes
