416 ORIENTATION
POLICY AND PROCEDURE
POLICY
It is mandatory for all new students
entering Georgia Perimeter College to
participate in orientation prior to
class registration. Hereafter,
the term “new student” will mean any person who has not attended
Students taking
all of their classes online will participate in online orientation.
PROCEDURE
l. The college-wide Orientation Planning Committee will confirm
campus orientation dates for the academic year.
ll.
The Orientation Team at each location
will implement orientation each semester.
III. Newly admitted students will be notified
about orientation.
IV.
All new
International Students holding an F-1 (student) visa are required to
attend an International Student Information meeting in
addition to Orientation.
These students will be
notified separately by International Student Admissions
and Advising of the date, time, and location of these
meetings.
V. In
order to participate in orientation, students must have fulfilled all placement
testing requirements.
