A Criminal History Check is to be conducted on all full-time and part-time applicants who are being considered for employment.
The
Criminal History Check is conducted by the Protective Services Department of
Georgia Perimeter College.
A consent form will be made available to each potential candidate who is being considered for employment. The form should be completed, notarized and returned immediately to the Budget Manager.

NO ONE will be added to the payroll in any capacity, temporary or permanent, part-time or full-time, until the criminal history has been completed. The Assistant Vice President for Human Resources will base the decision on the Board of Regents Business Procedures Manual, Vol. 3A, Revised Section II B which states:

Additionally, an applicant may be disqualified for conviction of activities that would be in conflict with proposed job duties. The Human Resources Department will notify the Budget Manager or Supervisor whether the applicant's criminal history report has cleared or not cleared as soon as information is received from the Department of Protective Services.
