SECTION 800 - HUMAN RESOURCES

 

803.2201              GUIDELINES FOR PUBLICIZING FULL-TIME PPROFESSIONAL POSITION VACANCIES FOR GEORGIA PERIMETER COLLEGE

 

PURPOSE

 

To systematically publicize vacant full-time faculty and professional and administrative (P&A) positions at Georgia Perimeter College to ensure the following:

 

      1. Sufficient opportunities for interested and qualified persons including both internal and external candidates to apply for positions.

 

      1. Affirmative efforts to attract applications from members of historically under-represented groups.

 

PROCEDURE

 

A.                 All position announcements (after approval of DP-20 Form) will be forwarded to the Human Resources Department. The position announcement should include the following:

 

    1. Position title
    2. Area of specialization, if applicable
    3. Educational requirements
    4. Certification requirements, if applicable
    5. Required work experience
    6. Job-related skills
    7. Salary range
    8. Application deadline date
    9. Anticipated employment date
    10. Name and address of person to receive applications or resumes.

 

B.                 The Human Resources Department will distribute copies of the position announcement to all campuses of Georgia Perimeter College, to other institutions in the University System of Georgia, private educational institutions and agencies, and other recruiting media deemed appropriate.
