SECTION 900 - FACILITIES 

916.01 THE ALLOCATION AND REALLOCATION

OF BUILDING SPACE

PURPOSE

The Purpose of this procedure is to define a process through which the best use of available space can be determined.

PROCEDURE

  1. At the campus level, the Campus Administrative Dean will receive requests for allocation or reallocation of space at each campus. At the district level, the Executive Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs will receive requests for space. The Campus Administrative Dean and/or the Executive Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs will forward the request form, indicating support or non-support, to the Chair for the Facilities Committee. When applicable, the Chair for the Facilities Committee will forward a copy of the request form to the Director for Plant Operations and/or the Director for Information Technology.
  2. The Chair of the Facilities Committee will convene a meeting of the Facilities Committee and other appropriate persons to consider any requests regarding allocation and/or reallocation of building space.
  3. The Chair of the Facilities Committee will submit such requests and the committee's recommendations to the Executive Committee of the Administrative Cabinet.
  4. The Executive Committee will then recommend to the President.
  5. The President will inform the personnel involved of his decision.
