DID YOU KNOW?  Georgia Perimeter College is a star among Georgia colleges when it comes to offering foreign languages. In comparison to state universities, four year colleges and other two year colleges, GPC provides more students with more languages than any other. Only the research universities surpass our numbers.The University System of Georgia website keeps statistics on the teaching of foreign languages at the state institutions. Georgia Perimeter College plays an important role, and has an opportunity to boast about its offerings of languages. According to the latest statistics, GPC is the only two year college offering Chinese, Russian, Italian, Portuguese, and only one of two offering Japanese. This is an important asset when we consider the number of students who can manage 3-4 years of critical languages such as Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Portuguese, and Russian during their undergraduate education. When we consider the business and education environments of Atlanta, this is certainly a program worth supporting and advertising.

• As of summer semester 2010, GPC students are studying or have studied abroad in Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, England, France, Germany Ghana, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Peru, Russia and Spain.
• GPC international students come from 151 different countries.
• GPC faculty and staff include colleagues from Africa, Asia, Europe, South and Latin America, and the Middle East.
• Our ESL Program has been preparing international students for their American higher education experience for more than twenty years. The faculty have lived and worked cumulatively in all regions of the world.
