Georgia Perimeter College wants to encourage you and your family to establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Preventive and proactive health can protect individuals against disease, lessens its impact, or detect a disease at an early stage when it is easier to treat. While many of our carriers provide "well health: tools and information as well as disease management support, our utilization of those services is low. Even the High Deductible Health Plan offers coverage for well health before the deductible. A recent government report noted a high concern for Americans with risk factors such as tobacco use, high cholesterol, obesity and insufficient exercise. These factors are associated with chronic diseases and conditions such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension and stroke.
