College Savings-529 Plan

The Georgia Section 529 Higher Education Savings Plan is the State of Georgia's Internal Revenue Code Section 529 college savings plan. Under the program, any eligible employee may open a college savings account for a child, spouse, him/herself, or another individual.

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)

Tuition Assistance Program is available to full time, benefits-eligible faculty, professional & administrative, and staff employees who have 6 months of service by the TAP deadline for the desired academic semester.

The purpose of the TAP is to foster the professional growth and development of its eligible employees.

Shared Leave Program

Employees may donate a minimum of 8 hours and maximum of 80 hours of sick time to the Shared Leave Program. This is a one-time donation made during the initial enrollment period to be effective for May 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011.

An employee who donates leave must retain a combined total of 40 hours of leave in his/her own sick leave account (pro-rated for part-time employees). For example, if you are a half-time employee (.50 for staff or .38 for faculty), a combined total of 20 hours sick leave must be retained.

Georgia United Credit Union

Georgia United Credit Union offers membership to all employees. Once an employee joins the credit union, he/she will enjoy discounts and special rates on a variety of financial products and services. There is a $30 deposit, $25 to open the share savings account plus $5 non-refundable membership fee.
