Eligibility
All new employees, in covered positions, are required to participate in a retirement plan as a condition of employment.
Fulltime Staff
All new non-exempt , fulltime employees are required to participate in the Teachers Retirement Plan. Non-exempt, fulltime employees must complete and sign the TRS enrollment form.

Professional & Administration/Faculty
All new exempt, fulltime employees have the option of enrolling in the Optional Retirement Plan or the Teachers Retirement Plan. Employees have 60 days from the date of hire to select a plan. After 60 days, an employee, who has not made a selection, will automatically be enrolled in the TRS plan. Deductions will be retroactive to date of hire!

Part Time Staff/Faculty
All non-exempt/exempt, part time employees are required to participate in the Georgia Defined Contribution Plan. Employees are able to enroll online through the Employee Retirement System of GA's website.
Voluntary Retirement Savings (403b/457b) Plans
Employees may contribute additional monies into a 403(b) and/or 457(b) Retirement Plan.

Retirement From The College
If you are retiring from the college, please review the information below.
1. Review the Retirement Facts
2. Submit an intent to retire letter to supervisor
3. Make an appointment with a Retirement Counselor. If you are a TRS member, contact TRS, and if you are an ORP member, contact the vendor(s) from the list below.
