The OSC can assist you with obtaining the correct web browser, plug-ins, and general iCollege usage questions.
The OSC cannot assist you with password issues. You must contact the GPC Service Desk for all password issues.
iCollege is scheduled to undergo routine maintenance every other Friday evening. Please review the schedule. Faculty are advised not to have due dates for assessments (quizzes, tests, exams), assignments, discussions, etc set during the scheduled downtimes.
Unscheduled Downtime
The University System of Georgia makes every effort to avoid unscheduled downtime. In the event that iCollege should be come unavailable due to unscheduled downtime, please contact the Online Support Center (OSC) or GPC Service Desk (678-891-3460) for more information.
General Information
All faculty, staff, and students of Georgia Perimeter College have iCollege accounts. The username and password is the same for email and other college services.
Faculty/Staff Accounts
Faculty/Staff accounts are typciall available within 2 business days of being hired. Faculty will automatically see their sections that coincide with their teaching assignments. More information about setting up sections that you are assigned to teach is available from this video: http://www.gpc.edu/icollege/sections.
In some cases faculty may wish to begin working in iCollege prior to receiving their teaching assignments. In these cases, faculty can request "building sections" to work in until they receive their teaching assignments. To request a "building section" please go to http://www.gpc.edu/icollege/sectionrequest
Student Accounts
Student accounts are available in iCollege approximately 2 business days after the student is admitted to the college. Classes that students register for will show up in iCollege approximately 2 business days after they register but not more than 2 business days before the start of the semester.
All students will have new passwords for the Fall 2009 semester. Students will get their new password information from: http://www.gpc.edu/getmylogin in order to access iCollege, email, and other college services.
Student enrollment information is uploaded to iCollege based on the following schedule.
GPC pulls the information out of the Student Information System around noon in order to ensure we get our information to the University System by their 3pm deadline. Our information is loaded into iCollege overnight. This means that if a student registers for your class at 10am on Monday they should be loaded into your iCollege class by Tuesday morning. However, if the student registers for your class at 1pm on Monday they won't be loaded into your iCollege class until Wednesday morning. A safe bet is to assume it takes approximately 48 hours from the time you register to the time you can get to your classes in iCollege.

Guest Accounts
Faculty needing an extra iCollege account for purposes such as guest lecturers can make that request at the time they request their sections. They can also submit the request to the Service Desk.
Name Changes
Students who have had their named changed by the college in the Student Information System (SIS) may request via the Service Desk to also have their name changed in iCollege.
Faculty who had had their name changed by the college through Human Resources may request via the Service Desk to also have their name changed in iCollege.
Beginning in Fall 2009 sections will be automatically added to Faculty iCollege V8 accounts beginning July 21, 2009. Faculty will be able to setup their sections on their own. It will no longer be necessary for faculty to fill out the section request form. The section request form will only be used in cases where (for whatever reason) faculty are not assigned via the SIS (aka Banner) to teach the section. Please view this video on how to setup your sections: http://www.gpc.edu/icollege/sections ore download printable instructions.
