How to use MyMathLab (MML)
MyMathLab integration with iCollege is available for most courses that use a Pearson text book. Check with the Math Discipline for specifics on which courses and books include MyMathLab. MyMathLab is considered an epack. So, in order to get started using MyMathLab instructors will need to request that their section be setup using the MyMathLab epack that corresponds to their textbook. You can request that OIT put the MyMathLab epack into a "building section" or a real "teaching section". If your real "teaching section" is not yet available in iCollege go ahead a request a "building section". The first time you choose to use MyMathLab you MUST request the epack. However, each semester after you can copy the previous semesters section over on your own without submitting any requests. The instructions for copying a previous section over are available on the web.
NOTE: New GPC Online Math/CS Part-Time instructors should contact their department chair for special instructions.
If you experience issues with the setup of your iCollege/MyMathLab sections please go to the request form and select option 6. Be sure to detail the issues that you are having in the comments section. Do NOT contact Pearson representatives. Report any difficulties with iCollege and MyMathLab to GPC's Service Desk or the request form.
Once you have your section enabled with MyMathLab you can get assistance with how to use MyMathLab features from the "MyMathLab Faculty Experts" that have been designated on each campus. Your MML faculty expert is your best source for MML help!
Using MyMathLab (MML)
All students must have an access code to use the MyMathLab content found in their iCollege classes.
When you log into your class, you will be asked to enter an access code. If you have not purchased your code, you can request a grace period for up to 15 days until you get your code. After that period, if you have not entered your access code, you will not have access to class resources and assignments.
How do you purchase an Access Code?
1. Bundled with your textbook at the GPC Bookstore
2. Stand Alone code from the GPC Bookstore
Special Cases
Students that have used MyMathLab in previous semesters MAY be able to reuse their access code so long as the same textbook is being used in the class they are now taking. To find out if you are eligible please see: http://www.mathxl.com/support/georgia.htm
