

iCollege may be used by any faculty or staff to support the classes they teach and the services they offer students. iCollege is not limited to use by online classes. Georgia Perimeter College encourages the use of iCollege in all classes regardless of the manner in which instruction is delivered.

Necessary Technology
To use iCollege faculty and staff should have a computer and Internet access that meets the minimum requirements. Additionally, faculty/staff should make sure they have the correct software versions of web browsers and java by using the Browser Checker. Other equipment might be useful: headsets, tablets, USB drives.
Section Setup
Spring 2010 sections will be automatically added to your iCollege V8 accounts beginning late-October 2009. Faculty will be able to setup their sections on their own. It will no longer be necessary for faculty to fill out the section request form.

Training on iCollege is provided through a partnership with GPC Online and the Office of Information Technology (OIT). In addition to training, faculty and staff can schedule time with Instructional Technologists and Faculty Development specialists.
Responsiblities
It is the faculty members responsiblity to setup their sections each semester. It is also the faculty members responsiblity to obtain training on the use of iCollege.
Orientation
All students using iCollege should complete the short, online orientation.
