Students who enroll in a class that is part of the iTeach program will be given an iPad to use for that semester.

The acceptance of the iPad is mandatory for all students that enroll in the class. A student that owns their own iPad may decline the college's iPad provided the iPad has all of the features necessary for the class (i.e. camera). Students that wish to use their own iPad should check with their instructor regarding how the iPad will be used and what features they must have.
If a student does not want to accept responsibility for the iPad then they may enroll in a different class section (one that does NOT require mobile devices).
The iPad will be available for student use only while enrolled in the class. If the student withdraws then they will be required to return the iPad and any accessories within 5 business days of withdrawing. Failure to return the iPad in the specified period of time could result in a hold being placed on student records.
If the student remains in the class the entire semester the iPad must be returned on the date agreed upon in the 'User Agreement' document that the instructor will have the student sign. Failure to return the iPad and accessories may result in a hold being placed on grades/student account and the student may be fined the entire replacement cost of the iPad and accessories.
Students are responsiblie for the iPad while it is in their possession. If the iPad is lost, stolen, or damaged the student may be held accountable for the entire replacement cost of the iPad and accessories.
If a student is enrolled in more than one iTeach class during the semester they may only accept one iPad.
Students who enroll in classes that are part of the iTeach pilot program must have access to a computer (Windows or Mac) that they can install software on, save files to, and sync their iPad to. This should be a computer that they are able to access at any time. It should not be a computer in a lab environment.
As part of the program, students will be asked to complete surveys regarding their experiences. Students will be asked to sign an informed consent document allowing GPC to use the data collected for research purposes.
Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their user agreement and informed consent document.
