Information System

Information Systems personnel provide technical support for systems used by students, faculty and staff to make decisions.  We provide support for the Student Information System used by our students to apply to the college, register for classes, apply for financial aid and pay tuition and fees.  We provide support for the human resource systems our faculty and staff use for payroll and personnel management.  We provide support for the financial systems our managers use to manage our budget.   We provide support for the website the college uses for marketing, public relations and information about many things our college has to offer.  We work closely with all constituents at the college to provide information which is accurate, timely, and secure and in an understandable format.
Student Information System (SIS)
Student Information Systems (SIS) Team supports users of Banner SIS – Self-Service Banner, used by students and faculty, and Banner INB, the SIS Admin User Application.  Banner supports these business functions:  Recruiting and Admissions, Records and Registration, Advisement, Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable, and Scheduling/Curriculum.  SIS Team supports data integrity for interfaces to other systems including JCard, JagAlert, iCollege, TouchNet, HigherOne, Contact Center CRM, GPC Libraries, and ODS/EDW, among others.
Web Technologies
The Web Technologies department, a.k.a. Web Team, resides within the Information Systems department of the Office of Information Technology.  The Web Team is responsible for developing and maintaining the programmatic technology of the GPC website and web-based applications.  Some of the web applications that the Web Team have programmed  and/or developed are  the GPC Website ‘Look and Feel’, SMARTS, eSAMS, Polling Station, Signup, Student Signup, GetMyLogin, GPC Directory, SIS Web Reports, Frequently Asked Questions / Ask GPC, College-wide Calendars,  GPC website Content Management System and many others.
ADP Administration
The Enterprise Information Systems – Administrative Systems team work closely with the finance division of Georgia Perimeter College and the Shared Services Center to provide development and support for the ADP Human Resource and Time & Labor Management System.
