Classroom Capture

Through our GPC Rewind service or using customized presentation capture software, OIT enables faculty members to record their classroom lectures or student presentations and then publish them later for review.

GPC Rewind

Through the use of the Echo360® system, GPC Rewind automatically creates, produces, manages and shares instructional contentfor learning modules and tutorials. The source of the content can be audio, video, or content from classroom document cameras and Sympodiums. Built-in, simple editing capability allows instructors and staff to easily delete unwanted sections of the recordings. The finished product can be automatically delivered to iCollege and iTunes U.

Student Speech Recording Software

In select classrooms, software has been installed to seamlessly integrate with the instructor PC, shared server space, Windows Media Encoder, Windows Media Player, and video cameras to provide instructors with the ability to digitally record, store and retrieve student speeches.

In order to provide access beyond their classroom meeting times while also meeting FERPA guidelines, faculty members have access to recorded speeches via secure server shared space from their office.
Students can view their presentations from the workstation located in the back of the classroom following each recording. Upon request, faculty can can also provide students with a copy of their speeches for personal viewing outside of class.
