Classrooms and Labs

lab classroomThe campuses at GPC include facilities to support instruction and development in the use of technology.  Each of these locations is well equipped with technology tools to match the function of the facility in supporting the mission of Georgia Perimeter College.

ideaSPOT
The campus based ideaSPOT
lab locations are where faculty will find ideaSPOT staff, high-end Mac and Windows workstations with specialized graphics and video editing software, mobile devices, classroom technology such as Smartboards and clickers, and audio/visual equipment.

 

mediaSPOT

The campus mediaSPOT lab locations offer GPC students access to state-of-the-art media production and post-production equipment, facilities, and training. Each mediaSPOT features Mac Pro workstations with Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Logic, and more. Students can learn professional video, audio, and photography techniques through short, hands-on workshops offered throughout the year.   Faculty can work with the mediaSPOT staff to design media projects to promote media literacy!


jagSPOT

Each campus has a jagSPOT or open access computer lab available for students. 

 
 

Classrooms and Computer Classrooms

Each campus has a mix of classrooms and computer classrooms.

Classrooms

All classrooms are equipped with an an instructor station with Windows-based computer,  DVD player, and projector.
Many classrooms also contain document cameras.

Computer Classrooms

Each  computer classroom contains an instructor station with Windows-based computer,  DVD player, and projector.
Many computer classrooms also contain document cameras.   They will also have student Windows-based coomputers.
 

Other

Some classrooms and computer classrooms are equipped as Speech Capture Rooms and some are equipped with Lecture Capture Rooms.
 

To schedule your class into a computer classroom please contact your campus scheduler at:  gpc-space@gpc.edu  please allow at least two (2) working days for requests to be processed.
