2012-2013 Clicker Adoption
What
The Academic Technology Advisory Committee sponsored the FY2012-2013 Student Response System aka Clicker Product Review. The committee was charged with reviewing 2 clicker vendors and making a recommendation to the Academic Technology Advisory Committee on the product(s) to institutionally support (offer for student purchase in the bookstore).
NOTE: Any recommendations made by the committee will not affect the usage of “class sets” that are owned by Departments/Disciplines.
Vendors to be Reviewed
- i>clicker
- Turning Technologies
Previous Adoptions
Spring 2010, a committee met and evaluated Turning Technologies and iClicker. Turning Technologies was selected for institutional adoption. The primary factor in the decision was Turning Technologies ability to allow students to respond with numeric or free form answers in addition to the usual “A”, “B”, “C” choices.
