The recommended email client is Microsoft Outlook 2007 (Windows) or Entourage 2008 (Mac). The GPC/Exchange system stores your email and calendar on a centrally-maintained server.
The calendar in Outlook or Entourage allows you to schedule meetings with individuals across the campus. You may also use your hand-held device
to synchronize your calendar.
You can also access all email, calendars and other information stored in your GPC account via Outlook Web Access
Student Email & Calendaring
GPC has moved to Microsoft EduLive for student email.
Webmail is designed to look and act just like Microsoft Outlook. Since GPC Webmail interface is a Microsoft product, to get the proper functionality you'll need to use Microsoft Internet Explorer. GPC Webmail will work with other browsers such as Firefox and Safri. For students to log in, type in your full GPC email address (Example: firstname.lastname@example.org) as the “Windows Live ID” and then enter in your password.
Sending out large numbers of email messages (bulk email) can interfere with the operation of GPC Email service for everyone and can get to GPC on blacklists that prevent other GPC Email from getting through.
The GPC Email system is provided to support of GPC activities and is subject to state laws.
Do not send sensitive information by email. This includes personnel data, patient records, student information, and financial information.
Email messages can be kept and forwarded. The message you send to one person can easily spread to many more. Never assume that email is private, even when using encryption technologies.
