Projects & Planning Office
The Projects & Planning office provides project intake, portfolio management, and strategic planning services to the Office of Information Technology. In addition, Project & Planning also coordinates and manages the Student Technology Fee competitive proposal process.
Our customers are beginning to become familiar with our project intake process in which their ideas progress to a request; our OIT leadership team will qualify the request and then create a business case to present to the Executive cabinet. Once accepted, our customer’s idea may become a project portfolio initiative for us to execute and implement.
Periodically, our OIT leadership team will review our strategic plan to ensure that it is aligned with our institutional strategic plan titled “From Voice and Values to Vision and Victory.” This review ensures that our strategic planning will meet our institution’s strategic goals through the implementation of accepted projects and providing our customers the technology resources to meet their day-to-day needs.
Projects & Planning office is responsible for facilitating the Student Technology Fee competitive proposal process and organizes the Student Technology Fee Committee. This process invites Georgia Perimeter College students, student organizations, faculty and staff, or any grouping of our community, to submit proposals to request funding to provide technology resources to our students. The Student Technology Fee Committee is responsible for reviewing and evaluating proposals and recommends funding allocations to the President and Chief Information officer.
