Delivering Media on a Web Server

Some formats of media don't work well with podcasting and/or streaming so, another option is to publish your files to a web server

Publishing to a Web Server is a multi-purpose and flexible format for publishing your media files.  The drawback of this method is that the files can often be downloaded and must be accessed individually.  But the benefit is that you can deliver interactive flash and other formats that cannot be delivered using streaming or podcasting.

In order to publish media to a web server, you have two options.  One option is to upload the files to an the file manager in an iCollege course.  The other option is to place the files in the folder for a department, faculty, or staff web site.  Once the files are stored on the web server, you can then link or embed them in your iCollege course or website.
