Active Directory
Active Directory’s main purpose is to provide central authentication and authorization services for Windows-based computers. Active Directory also allows administrators to assign policies, deploy software, and apply critical updates to an organization. Active Directory networks can vary from a small installation with a few hundred objects, to a large installation with millions of objects.
Accounts
For Students, the GPC Password isused for logging into your Email, iCollege, SIS, Campus Wi-Fi, PC’s in the labs or the LRC. To retrieve your username and set/change your GPC password, please go to GetMyLogin, click on the "set password", "change password" or "forgot password" link and fill out the required information.
If you want to change your password, here is the criteria that qualifies as a secure strong password; it must contain at least 8 characters or more and be at least 3 of the following 4 choices:
- Uppercase letters
- lowercase letters
- Special characters like *&%$#@)(?=
- Numbers
An alternate to this is to come up with a short sentence using proper punctuation and spacing. Example: "Four score and seven years ago…"(including the three periods at the end).
