Training Policies

I.  Participation
Training workshops are free and open all Georgia Perimeter College students. Students from any campus may attend workshops on any other campuses. Students who have attended a specific workshop previously are welcome to attend that same workshop again at any time, on any campus.
 
II. Workshop Locations, Times, and Dates
The training schedule is planned one month at a time to allow maximum flexibility and to allow us to address changes in training needs.  Audio lab equipment workshops are held in the MediaSpots.  All other training workshops are held in H2160 (Clarkston campus) or in NLRC1200 (Dunwoody campus).  In addition, some student training materials are available online. 
 
III.  Registration
It is important that students use the online registration system to register for the desired workshops. If you are unable to log into the system to register, please contact the GPC Service Desk 678-891-3460, send an email to servicedesk@gpc.edu, or visit http://www.gpc.edu to reset your password.  Interested participants who are not registered will not be allowed to attend a training workshop.  Therefore, it is mandatory that students register for the desired workshop(s).  Students must attend the required training workshop(s) prior to using the equipment checkout service in the MediaSpot locations.
  
IV.  Workshop Cancellation Policy
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to low registration or other extenuating circumstances. In general, every effort will be made to avoid canceling workshops. However when it is necessary, participants who are registered for the workshop will be notified by e-mail as soon as it is possible.  Any workshop that has zero (0) participants registered at least 24 hours before the scheduled workshop time is automatically cancelled.
