Saint Cloud State Literacy Education Online (LEO) - “The Write Place Catalogue.” Various sections including business writing, research papers, resumes and cover letters, grammar, punctuation, and style.

Prentice Hall’s Student Success - “Writing.” Includes three step process: planning, writing and monitoring, goal setting, and quiz.

Purdue University Online Writing Lab - “Handouts and Materials for Students and Teachers.” Various sections and handouts for general concerns, English as a Second Language, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, Research and Documenting Resources, Professional Writing, Across the Curriculum, and Practice Exercises.

Study Guides and Strategies - “The Process and Types of Writing” Various topics including developing and analyzing, pre-writing and drafts, proofreading, writing under deadline, writing for the web, expository, persuasive, and position papers.

English Spoken as an Other Language (ESL/ESOL/ ENSL) Resources-

If English is not your first or native spoken language, the college uses the designation ESL/ENSL/ESOL. Proficiency in reading, writing, grammar and spoken English skills are necessary to prepare the student for academic success in their college level course work.

www.1-language.com – 1 Language site. An Open Educational Resource (OER) ESOL online course free to the public. Includes American English Audio Course, ESL games, and articles on learning English language skills. Resource directory includes community resources, job listings and study abroad information.

http://a4esl.org/ - Activities for ESL Students site. Includes quizzes, tests, and exercises and puzzles to help reinforce English language skills. Has podcasts and bilingual resource options.

ABC Ingles: Helps ESL students learn English as a second language - ABC English site. Includes tests, grammar help, and reading comprehension tests. Site can also be viewed in Spanish.
