    Other important notes

    • Federal financial aid is not available for audit courses or for a course that is not required for graduation.
    • Federal financial aid can pay for only (30) thirty hours of Learning Support. English as a Second Language will be monitored for Satisfactory Academic Progress.
    • Most financial aid is awarded based on full-time enrollment and may be adjusted if enrollment is less than full-time.
    • Students must register for the semester and all mini-sessions of the semester by the last day of schedule adjustment. The financial aid award is based on the student's enrollment after schedule adjustment. Changes in enrollment status may cause a reduction in aid eligibility. If you change your enrollment status, you may have to repay all or part of the aid received.
    • If students with a valid FAFSA register for a mini session after schedule adjustment, they cannot receive federal financial aid.
    • To receive a student loan, students must be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) credit hours at the time the loan funds are received by the institution.
    • Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) must be maintained in order to receive federal financial aid. Please review these standards online.
    • Transient, special and continuing education students and provisionally accepted students are ineligible for federal financial aid.

For specific details on financial aid, visit your campus financial aid office. Students submitting a financial aid appeal because of Satisfactory Academic Progress must prepare to pay for their classes.

Students will be evaluated for continuing HOPE eligibility when they have attempted 30, 60 and 90 credit hours. Students also are reviewed at the end of every spring semester. Students who have not maintained a grade point average of 3.0 will no longer be eligible to receive HOPE funds and will need to be prepared to pay for their classes.

HOPE Transient students must submit the HOPE Certificate for Transient Study from their home institution.
