Marc ZagaraHead Men's Soccer Coach Head coach Marc Zagara enters his 16th year at the helm of the men’s soccer program at Georgia Perimeter College. Coach Zagara guided the Jaguars to their first men’s soccer national championship in 2005 and a fifth place finish in 2006. Starting from scratch in 1992, Zagara has built a Southeastern soccer powerhouse that is regularly ranked in the top 15 nationally and has appeared in five national tournaments. During his tenure, Zagara has compiled a 216-67-7 record and his squads have won nine Georgia Junior College Athletic Association Region XVII championships in 11 years. The Jaguars are ranked No. 1 in the National Junior College Athletic Association 2006 preseason poll. A native of Pittsford, N.Y., Zagara began playing soccer at an early age. Under the guidance of Joe Borrash, the winningest high school coach in New York state history, Zagara became an All County player at Pittsford High School. An all-around athlete in high school, Zagara earned All County honors in both baseball and swimming.
Ron Moore is in his 13th season as an assistant coach with the Georgia Perimeter College men’s soccer program. He brings a wealth of experience from youth and amateur soccer teams and has been instrumental in developing GPC’s soccer program into a national contender, winning the 2005 national championship title. In over 20 years as a soccer coach, Moore has compiled over 300 wins and served as a clinician for various soccer camps in the southeast. He holds a National USSF “C” License and a NSCAA goalkeeper coaching certificate. Moore is also a Georgia State Coaching Course Instructor, an ODP evaluator and a former state amateur ODP coach. He has been an active member of the NSCAA since 1991 and has served on the executive and full board of the Georgia State Soccer Association (GSSA) for the past 11 years. Moore was also president of the Georgia Soccer Coaches Association for eight years. In 2002, Moore received the Lifetime Achievement Award by the GSSA for his outstanding service to soccer in Georgia for over 25 years. Moore holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Biology from Livingston University. He also served in the U.S. Army for two years.
Jerome Samuels is from Kingston, Jamaica, and began his international career before the age of 16 on the Jamaican Youth National Team. He has played professionally for Harbour View F. C. in
