2005-06 Schedule/Results
Riggs named women’s soccer head coachAfter serving two years as an assistant coach, Georgia Perimeter College Athletic Director, Greg Ward, named Jessica Riggs the head coach of the women’s soccer team beginning in the 2005-2006 season. “She will be good for our program,” said Ward. Riggs played four years at Piedmont College where she earned Most Valuable Player as a defender all four years in the sweeper position and All-Tournament honors. Riggs, who coached for 10 years on the high school and youth recreational levels, brings an extensive list of coaching and playing experience to the women’s soccer program. Riggs is a Dekalb county school teacher and a graduate of Piedmont College with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. She also received a Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders from Georgia State University. She enjoys playing soccer, reading and traveling. Riggs will be joined by assistant coaches Franklin Lawson and Bruno Kalonji. -GPC- | |||||||||||||
