Faculty and Staff Library Research Appointments

You now have an opportunity to book an appointment with a librarian for a personal tutoring session. As you know, it benefits your students when you are able to point them toward the best resources available.

Why should you make a research appointment?

  • You're new (or old) to GPC and want to know what the library has to offer.
  • You would like to improve your web surfing skills and your ability to evaluate what you see on the web.
  • You realize your students are savvy citizens of the virtual, digital world and you want to update your technology skills.
  • You would like to steer your students away from Google and Yahoo! and toward GALILEO for their research.
  • You're fuzzy on using GIL, the library catalog, and GALILEO, the source for periodical citations and articles.
  • You're writing an article or book and would like help with expert searching.
  • You would like to collaborate with a librarian on developing a library instruction session.

If you have questions prior to making an appointment, please contact Sherry Durren, (678) 891-3636.
