Do you have the book I need?
We might; search GIL. If you know the exact title of the book, go to GIL and use the Exact Search page to look for the exact title.

Do you have the textbook for my class? We might; search GIL. If you know the exact title of the book, go to GIL and use the Exact Search page to look for the exact title. If we don't have it, go to the Online Bookstore or the Campus Bookstore.

Where are the course reserves for my class?
Course reserves are kept at the Circulation Desk. You must know the reserve number of the item you need in order to request it at the Circulation Desk. Learn how to find course reserves. Also, you'll need to show your AccessCard or another photo ID to check out the item.

Where is Learning and Tutoring Center and the writing and math labs?
The The Learning and Tutoring Center along with its labs are on the second floor of the Jim Cherry Learning Resources Center (same building as the Library) in rooms 2232 and 2233.

Where is my instructor's office, what is her phone number, and what is her email address?
First, check your syllabus. The instructor's office number, phone number, and email address should be included. For email addresses, use the employee email directory. For office locations and phone numbers, find and visit the appropriate academic department website, and then consult the faculty directory for that department.

How can I tell when the items I have checked out are due?
Go to GIL. Click Access my GIL account to. Login using your Social Security Number and last name. You should see a list of the items you currently have checked out and their due dates. If you want to renew items from your GIL account, continue to the next question, Can I renew items from home?

Can I renew items from home?
Yes, if you have a computer with Internet access. Go to GIL. Click Access my GIL account to. Login using your Social Security Number and last name. Check the box next to each item you wish to renew. Click the Renew Items button. How to Renew Items Online provides more details.

Where do I pay the fine for an overdue book?
To pay a library fine, go to the Circulation Desk on the second floor of the Clarkston Library. You can pay in cash or by check made out to Georgia Perimeter College.

What happens if I don't pay my library fines?
Once you owe fines of $15 or more, your library account is blocked. Borrowing privileges are suspended until the fines are paid. If you don't return a book and it's declared lost, your Banner (Oscar) account will be blocked. This means you will not have access to your transcripts, grades, accounts receivable, or graduation. Instead of getting fines, learn how to renew books online!

How do I get a copier refund?
Fill out the Copier Refund Form from Auxiliary Services to request that a copier refund be credited to your AccessCard or V-card.

Do you provide wireless and laptop Internet access?
Wireless and laptop access are limited to currently registered GPC students, staff and faculty. Any one else who tries to connect to the internet using our wifi network or the laptop connections on the third and fourth floor, will see a login screen asking for a GPC email username and password.

How do I print?
To print from the library computers you must use your GPC AccessCard (see How do I get an AccessCard?) or purchase a V-card. Print your file as usual, then enter your name and a name for the item that you're printing. Go to one of the printer release stations on the second floor of the Library, swipe your card, then enter your name to login. Click the name of the item you wish to print, and click Print.

If you are connected to the Library's wireless network and need to print, go to Wireless Printing for Students and follow the on-screen instructions. Go to one of the printer release stations, swipe your card, then enter your name to login. Click the name of the item you wish to print, and click Print.

Do you have a FAX machine?
No. The fax machine nearest to campus is at Office Depot, 5064 Memorial Drive at Memorial College Avenue.

Where are the computer labs?
At Clarkston there are labs in CC-1180 and CL-2350. The Open Computer Lab Schedule lists computer lab locations and hours.

Do you have a scanner?
There is a scanner in the computer lab (CL-2350) that is directly across the hall from the Learning and Tutoring Center in the library.

Where can I check my non-GPC email account?
The Library computers provide access to Web-based email services. If you're a currently enrolled GPC student, you also can check your email at any of the campus computer labs. Check their locations and schedules here.

What is the GALILEO password?
Go to GIL, click Get GALILEO password, and login using your Social Security Number and last name. ( Watch this short video to learn how.)

What is my GPC Webmail password?
Go to the Change Email Password page, enter your nine digit student ID number (your 900 number)and birthdate. Then follow the rest of the instructions.

What is my GPC WebCT password?
Go to the ID Query page, enter your Social Security Number and birthdate, and click Submit Query. You will see your Webmail AND WebCT passwords, so make sure you use the correct password for each service!

How do I get an AccessCard?
You must be a currently enrolled GPC student to get an AccessCard. Go to the AccessCard office, G1170, to get your card made. ( Check the AccessCard office hours here.) The card is free, and you need it to print, check out books, and lots of other things. Please follow these procedures if your card is lost or stolen.

What is GPC's FAFSA federal school code?
Go to the FAFSA Federal School Code Search page and complete the form to get GPC's code.

Can I borrow a calculator?
There are up to four Texas Instrument calculators held at the Circulation desk as course reserves which GPC may check out with a valid student I. D. card for limited periods of time. Other patrons may borrow a calculator from the reference desk, depending upon availability.
