Where are the course reserves for my class?
Course reserves are kept at the Circulation Desk. You must know the reserve number
of the item you need in order to request it at the Circulation Desk.

Where is Learning and Tutoring Center and the writing and math labs?
The The Learning and Tutoring Center are in B Building. The
English lab is in CB-1201, while the math lab is in CB-1207.
Where is my instructor's office, what is
her phone number, and what is her email address?
First, check your syllabus. The instructor's office number, phone number,
and email address should be included. For email addresses,
use the employee email directory.
For office locations and phone numbers, find and visit the
appropriate academic department website, and then
consult the faculty directory for that department.
How can I tell when the items I have checked out are due?
Go to GIL. Click Access my
GIL account to. Login using your student ID nNumber (Your "900 number") and last name. You should see
a list of the items you currently have checked out and their due dates. If you want to
renew items from your GIL account, continue to the next question, Can I renew items from home?
Can I renew items from home?
Yes, if you have a computer with Internet access. Go to GIL.
Click Access my GIL account to. Login using your student ID number (your "900 number")
and last name.
Check the box next to each item you wish to renew. Click the Renew Items button.

Where do I pay the fine for an overdue book?
To pay a library fine, go to the Circulation Desk on the second floor of the Clarkston Library.
You can pay in cash or by check made out to Georgia Perimeter College.
What happens if I don't pay my library fines?
Once you owe fines of $15 or more, your library account is blocked. Borrowing
privileges are suspended until the fines are paid. If you don't return a book and it's declared lost,
your Banner (Oscar) account will be blocked. This means you will not have access to your transcripts,
grades, accounts receivable, or graduation. Instead of getting fines, learn how to
renew books online!
Where do I find practice problems/essays for the Regents Tests?
This site offers practice with the Regent's Reading and
Essay tests.
To practice for the math portion of the Regents, the library has practice books available.

How do I get a copier refund?
Fill out the Copier Refund
Form from Auxiliary Services to request that a copier refund be credited to your JCard or V-card.
Do you provide wireless and laptop Internet access?
Wireless and laptop access are limited to currently registered GPC students, staff
and faculty. Any one else who tries to connect to the internet using our wifi
network or the laptop connections on the third and fourth floor, will see a login screen asking for a GPC email
username and password.
How do I print?
To print from the library computers you must use your
GPC JCard (see How do I get a JCard?) or purchase a
V-card. Print your file as usual, then enter your name and a name for the item that you're printing. Go
to one of the printer release stations on the second floor of the Library, swipe your card, then
enter your name to login. Click the name of the item you wish to print, and click Print.
If you are connected to the Library's wireless network and need
to print, go to Wireless Printing

and follow the on-screen instructions. Go to one of the printer release stations,
swipe your card, then enter your name to login. Click the name of the item you wish to print, and click Print.
Do you have a FAX machine?
No. The fax machine nearest to campus is at Office Depot, 5064 Memorial Drive at Memorial College Avenue.
Where are the computer labs?
At Clarkston there are labs in CC-1180 and CL-2350. The
Open Computer Lab Schedule
lists computer lab locations and hours.
Do you have a scanner?
There is a scanner in the computer lab (CL-2350).

Where can I check my non-GPC email account?
The Library computers provide access to all Web-based email services.
If you're a currently enrolled GPC student, you also can check your email at any of the campus
computer labs. Check their locations and schedules here.
Where can I turn in all manner of paperwork, pay my bills, see admissions and financial aid counselors, and
use a guest computer while I am registering?
Enrollment and Registration Services is the place to go to turn in all admission and registration related paperwork and pay
college bills. There are admission and financial aid counselors there as well as student accounts which will make
change of $20 bills. You also pay for your placement tests at Enrollment and Registration and receive help adding
and dropping courses, or even finding out your classes' locations.

I need to see the Dean. The Dean of Students' office is on the second
floor of Building N (the Student Center).
Where do I take placement tests? First pay to take your exam at Student Accounts inside
Enrollment and Registration at Building N, the Student Center. Then take your test in Building H Room 2180.
Where do I park and how do I get a parking sticker? There is a new parking deck near the
tennis courts that offers students plenty of space for their cars. Students can obtain parking stickers from the Campus Police
who have an office in Building G.
Where can I get a copy of the Student Handbook?
The Office of Student Life in Building N (the Student Center) has copies of the handbook.
Where can I get something to eat on campus? The Campus Cafe, located in Building N (the Student Center) serves
breakfast, lunch, and sometimes early dinner. There are also vending machines located in Buildings N, B, and G.
Where is the Continuing Education Office? The Office of Continuing Education Office is in the
white building across Indian Creek Drive next to Clarkston High School.
I've just lost an item. How do I get it back?
There are lost and founds in many buildings including the library. In addition, the Campus Police in Building G
have a central lost and found. They are open seven days a week and are friendly to students trying to recover
lost items.
What is the GALILEO password?
Go to GIL, click Get
GALILEO password, and login using your student ID or 900 number and
last name. (Take this
interactive tutorial to learn how. Note: this tutorial requires Flash/Shockwave.)
What is my GPC Webmail password?
Go to the Get my Login page and enter
your last name, the last four digits of your social secuurity number,
your nine digit student ID number (your 900 number), and birthdate. You will then see your userID and
have a chance to create your own password.

Go to the Login Query page and enter
your nine digit student ID number (your 900 number), and birthdate. You will then see your userID and
have a chance to create your own password.
How do I get an JCard?
You must be a currently enrolled GPC student to get an JCard. Go
to the Information Desk in Building N, to get your card made. (
Check the JCard office hours here.) The card is free, and you need it to
print, check out books, and lots of other things. Please
follow these procedures if your card is lost or stolen.
What is GPC's FAFSA federal school code?
Go to the
FAFSA Federal School Code Search page and complete the form to get GPC's code.
Can I borrow a calculator?
There are up to four Texas Instrument calculators held at the
Circulation desk as course reserves which GPC may check out with a
valid student I. D. card for limited periods of time. Other patrons may
borrow a calculator from the reference desk, depending upon availability.
