Your earlier Jimmy Carter searches used Quick Search, the basic keyword search. But, maybe you want to search more specifically, such as all books that Toni Morrison wrote, or a particular title by Toni Morrison. Try GIL's Exact Search. An Exact Search tells GIL where to look for your search terms. You can search the:

• Title- Finds titles that begin with your search term(s).
• Journal Title- Finds journal titles that begin with your search term(s).
• Author- Displays an alphabetical list of authors that most closely matches the name you entered.
• Subject Heading- Finds subjects that start with your search term(s).
• Call Number- Displays a list of call numbers close to the call number you enter.

Typically, you should be able to find what you want using the Title, Journal Title, Author, or Subject Heading search, and sometimes you might use Call Number, but you also can search by ISBN, ISSN, or by using special, specific commands.*
