GIL Express, Step by Step

You need a book, and none of the GPC Libraries own it. What do you do?

A. Give up and look for another book.
B. Buy the book at a bookstore.
C. Look for it at your local public library.
D. Get the book through GIL Express.

You could give up, spend your hard-earned money on the book, or try to find it in a public library, but the best answer is
D. GIL Express.

GIL Express is a University System of Georgia (USG) service that allows you to borrow books* from any USG library. Either you can go to the library in person and check out the book using your GPC AccessCard or another photo ID, or you can place an online request to have the book sent to the USG library of your choice for pick-up. Best of all, whether you check out the book in person or place an online request, GIL Express is free!

*Books that normally circulate (check out) are the only items eligible for GIL Express. Reference books, videos, DVDs, magazines, journals, and some other specialty items cannot be checked out through GIL Express.
