To begin, go to GIL@GPC (http://gil.gpc.edu) and search to find out whether a GPC Library has the book you need.

If you discover that all of the GPC Libraries' copies of the book you need are checked out or unavailable for another reason, or if you get the message that No matches were found in this catalog, then it's time to check the Universal Catalog (UC). The UC is made up of the combined library catalogs of all of the USG libraries.

You can go directly to the UC (http://giluc.usg.edu) and search for your book. Or, if your GIL search resulted in zero matches-- No matches were found in this catalog --then you should see Click here to execute this search in the GIL Universal Catalog. Clicking that link automatically will run the same search in the UC.
