Meet the Team
A graduate of the University of Tennessee and UT College of Law, I joined the Georgia Perimeter College family in 1990 in the Clarkston business department. After chairing, the reaccreditation of the College by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools ( SACS), I served as the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Director of Distance Learning and handling the college’s program review. Today, I serve as the Assistant Vice President for Educational Affairs for GPC and I'm proud to work in education where we change both individual lives and American culture.

I have been at Georgia Perimeter College since 1994, first as an adjunct Instructor of Biology, then as a full-time member of the Science Department on Clarkston campus, which led to my present position. I currently serve as Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) in the Educational Affairs Department. As a tenured associate professor, I enjoy the benefit of serving in the district office at GPC, which serves all 5 campuses by providing faculty development programs, as well as program development. Since I believe that education ends only with life, this would ensure that I’ll be constantly teaching! Interacting with faculty and exposing them to development opportunities keeps my thirst for teaching alive! www.gpc.edu/ctl

After graduating from Auburn University in Graphic Design and moving to Atlanta in 1990, I worked as an Art Director at Dynamic Media (a corporate presentation IBM business partner firm located downtown). I was given the opportunity to direct projects for such clients as Delta Airlines, Bank of America, GTE, ADP, IBM, and Holder Construction. I joined the college in 1994 as one of the first Instructional Technologists at Dekalb College and started one of the first Multi-Media labs on Clarkston Campus’ JCLRC. I have been able to use my corporate presentation experience to help the college in many capital outlay, presidential, faculty and staff presentations. Currently I am part of the Center for Distance Learning at Georgia Perimeter College working on the growth and enhancement of Online and Teleweb courses. I have worked in numerous areas throughout the college including Academic Affairs, the Switchboard, Admissions, OIT, and two Academic Departments. On occasion, I have worked in Student Accounts and the Bookstore.
