GPC Libraries Mission Statement By putting students first, the Learning Resources Centers of Georgia Perimeter College are committed to providing quality information resources and related services needed to support teaching, research, and lifelong learning to the GPC community. About the Decatur Campus Library
The
Decatur Campus Library is located on the 3rd floor
of the A building on the Decatur Campus. The Center has over 30,000 books,
160 current subscriptions, and a microfilm collection. The Center
also houses a state-of-the-art Library Instruction Classroom that has 21-computer
workstations in which students receive hands-on instruction in the use
of library resources and the research process.
The library provides a relaxing environment for studying or simply reading a favorite book or magazine. In addition to 122 seats consisting of tables for four and individual carrels, the Decatur Campus Library has 11 public access computers and 6 student-use laptop computers which provide access to the GIL library catalog, electronic databases including GALILEO, reference material and the Internet.
Georgia Perimeter College is a multi-campus institution. The Decatur
Campus Library is one of three main
campus libraries along with two
libraries located at other sites. Easy access to the all GPC library
collections is provided through GIL, our online
library catalog. Circulating materials are delivered between campuses through
Intercampus Loan.
