DeKalbWorks! One-Stop Workforce Development System includes one
Comprehensive One-Stop Center and four Satellite Centers . Each Center
operates under specific policies, procedures and minimum standards to
ensure that the principals of WIA as well as State and local regulations are
adhered to; and all job seekers, incumbent workers, and future members
of the work force have access to a core set of services. The System is built
upon customer satisfaction, and as such, we aim to serve each customer
promptly, respectfully, courteously and with a degree of professionalism
that will help our customers attain their educational and employment
objectives.
Core services
Core services are available at the Comprehensive One-Stop Center and each
Satellite Center. At each Center, customers may explore career development
and work preparation services, obtain career information on jobs, wages and
qualifications, and have access to a range of other pre-employment services,
occupational skill training programs information and job search assistance.
Core services may include customer access to
• Job Listings;
• Internet access for conducting job search;
• Initial assessment;
• Resume preparation consultation;
• Georgia Department of Labor job orders and referral service;
• Fax machine to send resumes and cover letters to employers;
• Computers, printers and copiers; and
• Resource library for reading about job search techniques and etc.
Pre-employment workshops are available at the Comprehensive One-Stop
Center and Satellite Center , as posted. Workshops may include introduction
to the Internet, introduction to Microsoft computer applications such as WORD,
Excel and PowerPoint, financial literacy and etc. Adult Education and Literacy
Programs and eligibility determination for Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
funded training and other assistance programs, including childcare is
available at the Comprehensive Center only.

Assistive Technology Equipment and staff assistance is available for
customers with visual and/or hearing impairments at all Center locations.
Intensive Services
Intensive services are available at the Comprehensive One-Stop Center only.
The Center Is located at 320 Church Street , downtown Decatur , Georgia .
To receive intensive services, a customer must attend a Workforce Investment
Act (WIA) Orientation Session and/or be determined WIA eligible by a WIA
Resource Specialist. In order to receive services at this level, a customer will
be requested to provide identification documentation, work history, skills profile
and etc.
