| about
us
The Chattahoochee Review is a nationally recognized literary
magazine sponsored by Georgia Perimeter College. Our purpose,
a tradition begun twenty-seven years ago, is to publish original
writing of literary merit. Each quarter, we publish the best
in creative writing, essays, fiction, literary criticisms;
everything you’ve come to expect from Atlanta's oldest
literary magazine.
The Chattahoochee Review is also a cultural organization
whose purpose is to build and maintain a literary community
in Georgia and the Southeast. However, having grown beyond
its past role as more of a Southern literary magazine, The
Chattahoochee Review has established a wider, more diverse
audience.
This updated website and the Summer 2006 issue mark the official
beginning of a new era for The Chattahoochee Review
literary magazine. For nearly a generation our little magazine
has helped introduce many of today’s top literary writers
to readers across the country. For nearly a generation this
literary journal has positively impacted the literary landscape
or our city, state, and region. In fact, in 2003, The
Chattahoochee Review literary magazine was recognized
for its history and contributions to the state, and was awarded
a Medal in the Humanities by Georgia’s Governor. By
accepting literary submissions from both established and emerging
authors and poets worldwide, The Chattahoochee Review
has been steadily broadening its reach. Sending subscriptions
nationwide and attracting new readership through our online
literary supplements, The Chattahoochee Review continues
to enjoy national success as a respected literary magazine.

As the year progresses more and more original content will
be uploaded, including interviews, podcasts, and excerpts
from the print issue. We also hope you will subscribe, or
send a gift subscription to a friend or relative.
And let us know what you think about our changes and our magazine
– good or bad. Your comments may be included in a new
“Letters to the Editor” section.
Remember: submit, subscribe, read!
All best,
