The Georgia Perimeter College Association of Nursing Students was created to serve as a community of nursing practicioners focused
on not only improving their own skills but to improve the service and care support provided to the patients we serve. It is our hope that your time
with GPC PCANS serves to provide you more tools, learnings and long lasting relationships that serve you well at the bedside. We welcome you to join and
participate so together we can all raise the bar of nursing.
- Our Purpose
- To assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality of health care
- To provide programs representative of fundamental and current professional interests and concerns, such programs being designed to aid in personal development, responsibility, and accountability
- To contribute to the overall development of its membership through it's many functions
- To aid in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, his/her responsibility for health care of people in all walks of life
- Our Functions
To provide an active organization on a local, state, and national level and to participate as an active constituent of the Georgia Association of Nursing
Students (GANS) and the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA)
To prepare for participation as a professional person
To represent nursing students to the consumer, to institutions, and other organizations
To have a direct input into the standards of nursing education and influence the educational process
To promote and encourage recruitment efforts, participation in student activities and educational opportunities regardless of race, color, creed, sex,
lifestyle, national origin, age, or economic status

Participation in the National Student Nurses Association's (NSNA) Annual Convention held in April and the Georgia Association of Nursing Students' (GANS) Annual Convention in October

Opportunity to help a new nursing students through the GaPCANS Mentoring Program
