The Math 2008 Committee submits this proposal to request to pilot the textbook A Problem Solving

Approach to Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers, 10th ed., by Billstein, Libeskind, & Lott in Math 2008.

Behnaz Rouhani and Margie Lewkowicz have volunteered to develop a template for Math 2008 so that this course can be taught in an online and hybrid format. To that end, they researched the textbooks available and used by other schools and came to the conclusion that the one textbook that has good online components needed for the development of this course is the Billstein textbook. This course, approved by the Department Chair Dr. Calandra Davis, is scheduled to be taught online by Behnaz Rouhani in spring 2010.
