GIL Express Borrowing
GIL Express allows all eligible
students, faculty and staff of the Georgia Perimeter College to search a single
online catalog that includes the holdings of all 35 University System of Georgia
libraries and request delivery of eligible circulating books to the GPC library
of your choice. GIL Express items may be checked out for 28 days and may be
returned to any University System of Georgia library.
To look for an item, first search GPC's own online
catalog - GIL@GPC. Items
requested from other GPC campus libraries arrive at the Newton Campus Library
within 2-3 business days. If you do not find the item in GPC's collections, then
you may wish to search the GIL Universal Catalog.
Items requested from other university and college libraries may take up to
4-5 days to arrive at the Newton Campus Library.

Pickup Locations
The Pick-Up Location is the location to which the requested
item is delivered for pick-up by the requesting patron. For pickup at the Newton
Campus Library, select Georgia Perimeter College, and then select NEWTON CIRC
DESK. For your convenience GIL Express items may be picked up or returned at any
USG library.
Renewals
If your account is in good standing and no one else has
requested items, GIL Express materials may be renewed up to two times through
your online account information. However, once an item becomes overdue,
it cannot be renewed or checked out again. It must be returned and sent
back to the owning library. GIL Express materials can only be renewed
through your online account or in person at the owning library.
